Scheduling/Developing Tools/Governance

This is a rare opportunity to join their key actuarial project team, with this newly created role for someone who has up to 5 years experience with ETL/Scheduling/Developing Tools/Governance and software skills VB.net and SQL Server.  The successful person will be strong in the use of SQL Server (storage of Data, designing of tables, designing and implementing tools) and the development of ETL, scheduling and other tools, as well as Data Governance.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing input and suggestions on tool design and process architecture
  • Creating tools that enable governed data and calculation processes
  • Supporting the modernized tool kit
  • Performing code reviews
  • Creating schedules for processing where needed

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Motivated candidate with excellent technology skills and firm grasp of Actuarial Functions
  • 4+ years of experience with ETL tools (preferably SSIS)
  • 3+ years of development experience with SQL Server and associated utilities, including advanced scripts, designing table structures for performance, and performance tuning for processes. 
  • Candidates should demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail required to execute Actuarial lead function
  • Strong analytical ability required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Familiarity with software life cycle concepts preferred
