About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Business Development, as the Associate Director, Business Development Manager, Transaction Banking, you will be involved in a digitally-minded, fast-paced environment using technology to facilitate next-generation experiences for our customers. Transaction Banking is one of the most dynamic areas of the bank that is continuously investing in the newest trends and technologies.

This role is responsible for leadership in the execution of the client acquisition strategy for Payments & Cash Management (Institutional Segment) and be a lead transactor on new to bank and existing client major business growth opportunities. The Business Development Manager is expected to have a deep understanding of Payments & Cash Management Products and Channels and execute effectively across the Transaction Banking sales process and disciplines

You will be a thought leader in identifying new product solution requirements of Institutional (ASX 200 Listed) Clients and will work collaboratively across our product, technology, operations & service teams to develop these solutions.

The role requires strong client engagement skills, strong internal stakeholder management skills, a deep understanding of ANZ’s Cash Management solution suite, a desire to continuously understand the newest technology trends in TB, and above all else a desire to drive quality revenue growth.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • A tertiary qualification in a Business, IT, Technology or related discipline
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think laterally and the flexibility to work in an environment of constant change
  • Digitally-minded and a desire to be at the forefront of digital innovation
  • Ability to identify future needs of clients through key questioning techniques
  • Strong understanding of Working Capital Management (at both financial and operational levels)
  • Excellent professional presence and exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills in order to manage client expectations
  • A thorough understanding of and previous experience in transactional banking advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong understanding of transaction banking products and use by ANZ clients
  • Strong client facing experience (in a sales capacity desirable)
  • Cert ICM qualifications desired or beneficial
