A leading retail bank is currently seeking a Financial Crime Manager for their Milton Keynes office. The role will see you providing high quality advisory support and oversight and oversight of the financial crime risks and controls.

Duties will include:

  • Provide core support for all financial crime matters (AML, ABC, sanctions and tax evasion).
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation in reaching solutions through challenging the status quo and 'thinking outside the box'.
  • Effectively manage financial crime risks and escalate as appropriate in line with organisational and departmental requirements.
  • Liaise with appropriate business areas to ensure that high value, financial crime matters are appropriately supported within financial crime compliance and best practice is shared with wider teams.
  • Lead in building strong relationships, sharing knowledge, skills and experience, focusing on a shared vision in order to enable succesful cross team working in pursuit of common goals.
  • Actively promote and enhance the reputation of financial crime compliance across the company.
  • Have personal impact and gravitas and is regarded as a credible trusted advisor by senior stakeholders.
  • Continuously promote and enhance team spirit and morale.

Skills / experience required:

  • Broad and recent experience of the financial services industry, while this role sits within the retail business you will also have exposure to wealth and SME corporates.
  • A firm working knowledge of financial crime including AML, CTF and ABC.
  • A detailed understanding of FCC regulatory and legal framework, this is imperative to the success of the role as you will be acting in an advisory capacity to the business and liaising with the wider financial crime function advising both parties on the intricacies of live business against the complexities of FCC framework.
  • First class communication skills.
