The Tax Analyst - Transfer Pricing will research, recommend and implement workflow efficiencies to continually improve service quality and efficiency of operational business and financial processes. Provide reporting and subject matter expertise to internal and external customers globally. Responsible for assisting in creation and running of quantitative analytical financial models to support internal pricing for global financial products and global services transactions including statutory financial and tax-impact analyses. Advanced quantitative and analytical systems modeling skills including creation and maintenance of performance indicators and trend analysis are a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research and document business and product issues involving workflow procedures and processes
  • Gather comprehensive product, company and country economic information to be used in identifying and resolving internal pricing between FT affiliates
  • Analyze financial data and work with management to develop and propose creative solutions
  • Develop user test plans and testing to validate system enhancements and other business requirement documents and specifications related to internal pricing with respect to products and transactions between business units
  • Develop new procedure documentation in support of new processes, products or system enhancements related to internal pricing benchmarks and country-specific transfer pricing / tax compliance reports
  • Coordinate recommended process changes and enhancements, including test plans to ensure successful implementation across FT business units and global jurisdictions
  • Discuss proposed system enhancements and modifications with information technology staff
  • Provide post-implementation support for all approved deliverables
  • Identify and recommend staff training needs in response to process changes or new product/system implementations.
  • Develop and product routine and non-routine reports of intermediate to complex scope
  • Update and interpret reports, providing analytical commentary and recommendations for change
  • Provide subject matter expertise on assigned systems or areas, specifically on SharePoint and global product database systems
  • Assume the role of technical expert responsible for developing and guiding other team members
  • Act as business unit liaison with other business units


Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Previous Financial Analysis, Financial Services, or Transfer Pricing experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform intermediate to advanced mathematical and financial calculations, trend and scenario analyses
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Advanced: Excel, Word, Access - Intermediate: PowerPoint, Visio, Project
  • Proficiency with COGNOS, PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion or Visual Basic Applications Interface are a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative and team-oriented working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain updated knowledge of procedures, products and activities of assigned area
  • Ability to adhere/respond to established time frames and schedules to successfully meet deliverable deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in coordination and collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines
