The Expertise We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree in Communications or related field of study is strongly preferred.

• Experience in a junior internal or external communications role, including social media.

• Excellent writing skills.

• Ability to effectively interact with a cross-discipline team and senior executives, as well as maintain a high level of confidentiality.

The Purpose of Your Role

This role supports the day-to-day administrative and communications coordination needs of the Asset Management/Fidelity Institutional communications team. Fidelity Institutional is Fidelity's division dedicated to financial intermediaries, including registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, banks, hedge funds and family offices. The Asset Management division offers investors a diverse set of investment capabilities, including equities, fixed income, asset allocation and others. These capabilities are driven by a core focus on investment research.

As the communications coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic communications programs that drive stakeholder advocacy through engaging experiences with relevant, creative content. These activities include internal/executive communications and division/enterprise-wide employee engagement programs.

The position plays a critical role in helping the department head and team leads to manage time-sensitive work that is both high-profile and sensitive in nature. This candidate must be able to manage and multi-task on multiple short-turnaround requests, be knowledgeable about the firm and resourceful in his/her work approach.

• Technology - Must have demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Additional skills in HTML and eReview will be required in the job, but candidates unfamiliar with these will be given training.

The Value You Deliver

• Materials Development

Assist with preparation of materials for communications campaigns and events

Help to write articles for Fidelity Central, Fidelity's news portal

Create and manage digital signage

Coordinate with marketing department to maintain updated content on digital channels (intranet, Sharepoint, etc.)

• Communications Distribution

Compile distribution lists, as needed, and have day-to-day responsibility for communications distribution through our communications management tool

Help manage the eReview process (Legal review) for all of the department's daily communications materials. At times this may involve working with legal and a department's Registered Principals to facilitate the process.

• Internal Communications Support

Support team members in distribution of a variety of messages through written, electronic and face-to-face communication channels.

• Team Support

Calendar management, organization of meetings

Prepare, process and track department expenses, invoices

Liaise with external vendors seeking to provide products and services to the department

Create and manage assembly of weekly, monthly and ad hoc communications reports for senior management

Your role is critical to contribute to the success of the Asset Management and Fidelity Institutional internal/executive communications group within the Communications, Public Affairs and Policy group. In your role as Communications Coordinator, you play a key role in helping to inform and engage Fidelity associates.
