Role Value Proposition:
The O-CAM Corporate Actuarial Architecture Lead is responsible for managing the PMCS and Pathwise cloud environments including tool implementation, monitoring of systems function and performance, and systems level governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the cloud based PathWise and PMCS environments
  • Monitoring and managing performance and system downtime
  • Maintaining system licenses and users
  • Monitoring system capacity and managing expansion/contraction of the system to meet business needs
  • Implementing and testing system components
  • Providing technical guidance to design authority and system users regarding compatibility and appropriate use of system components
  • Oversight of SDLC for non-model system components
  • Advisor to model steward regarding the MDLC for the model change and operations
  • Design and oversight of systems level governance, e.g. change management, testing, issues management
  • Oversight and support for systems related service management
  • Implementation and oversight of the data architecture, data model, data integration and data governance
  • Implementation and oversight of the system development/test/production/integration environments
  • Design and maintenance of systems level security permissions

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with actuarial systems and their business purpose
  • Familiarity with AON Pathwise and FIS Prophet platforms highly preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud based PAAS environments and Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with performance monitoring of cloud based systems
  • MS SQL Server management, data modeling, and DB performance tuning
  • Familiarity with data integration and data analytics tools
  • Experience with implementing data governance frameworks
  • Familiarity with systems level security management
  • Ten years of experience with Actuarial modeling systems
  • Degree required: IT, Mathematics or Engineering preferred
  • Management experience preferred; direct oversight over 2+
