Software Engineer - VP
Who we are looking for This is a hands-on software engineer position in State Street Global Technology Services seeking a leading technical contributor to the build out of core Cloud Services as part of Alpha Core Data Services platform. The candidate is someone with proven record of technology project execution with ability to get hands on when it comes to analysis design and execution, someone with creativity and self-motivation to delivery on mission critical projects.
What you will be responsible for As Software Engineer you will
- Drive technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions for various front, middle and back office implementations
• Participate in analysis, solutions design and deliver of Cloud-based sevices as part for Alpha Core Platform.
• Lead multiple agile teams delivery & adhere to SDLC processes.
• Ability to drive change through collaboration and influence
• Clearly communicate complex operational or technical subjects to internal or external clients, both in formal and informal settings.
What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role
• 10+ years' experience in IT developing data processing solutions and at least 3+ years leading projects
• Experience with designing & delivering services, systems & data platforms
• Experience with designing & delivering BigData platforms is a plus.
• Experience in event driven architectures, message hub, MQ, Kafka is required.
• Subject Matter Expertise in J2EE concepts, micro service architecture, Docker, ETL tools, Data as a Service, ACID and data structures is desired
• Experience in financial industry working on financial reporting/regulatory projects is a plus.
• Experience in evaluating software estimating cost and delivery timelines and managing financials
• Experience leading agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required
• Work closely with the business & IT stake holders to manage delivery
Education & Preferred Qualifications • Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
