PURPOSE: The Regulatory Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation or review of Audited Financial Statements, CPO PQR filings, 10Q/10K filings for Gemini Hedge Fund Services, LLC (GHFS”), a wholly owned subsidiary of NorthStar Financial Services Group, LLC (“NorthStar”).

• Prepares Audited Financial Statements, CPO PQR filings, 10Q/10K filings and other regulatory reporting by internal and regulatory deadlines
• Reviews the previous period’s final reporting/filings and rolls forward the final figures
• Adjusts current period’s Trial Balance for any appropriate top side entries
• Prepares data from the portfolio and partnership accounting systems needed for the support and preparation of the reporting/filings
• Prepares and reviews footnotes
• Reviews the reporting/filings prepared by fund administrators
• Works directly with the auditor to make any necessary adjustments to finalize the reporting/filings
• Maintains supporting documentation and work papers
• Creates, maintains, and generates ad hoc reporting as necessary
• Prepares teams for the next reporting cycle by ensuring data is rolled forward
• Trains teams on reporting/filing preparation
• Plans interim deadlines and goals for the reporting team to ensure timeliness of reporting/filing
• Works with the Fund Administration team to ensure controls are in place and systematically evaluates and implements operational process improvements
• Implements procedures and policies including periodic revisions of statement formatting to meet internal and external reporting requirements

May perform other duties as required and assigned.

• Regular contact with fund managers to request information or provide information needed to complete reporting/filings
• Regular contact with auditors, legal counsel, and tax prepares to request or provide information needed to complete reporting/filings
• Regular contact with Edgar agents to file the reporting/filings

• Ability to prepare Audited Financial Statements, CPO PQR, 10Q/K with footnotes
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP as it related to the regulations of hedge funds and investment vehicles
• Ability to provide quality customer service
• Ability to interact with other departments in the organization
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet internal and regulatory deadlines and address competing priorities
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Effective written, listening and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective problem solving and follow-through skills

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required
• CPA preferred

• Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience with preparing Audited Financial Statements and SEC reporting required
• Experience working within financial services industry preferred
