Business Risk Appetite & Limits Project Manager – Vice-President

Lieu de travail : New York, NY, États-Unis
Salaire : Circa $180,000 plus bonus

An urgent requirement for a VP level Project manager with a strong understanding Business Risk Appetite & Limits is required for an Investment Bank in Manhattan. They need a PM, ideally with a quantitative background to assist in defining the organization's overall risk appetite and alongside the board and executive management, communicate it broadly throughout the organization to ensure all actions of the company are in line with the risk appetite.

This top-down process, so applicants must demonstrate an ability to interact with senior stakeholders.  Alongside the board and top management, you will quickly become familiar with risk management strategy and with concepts such as risk appetite, to enable a clear projection when building the delivery strategy.  It’s important to factor risk tolerances for specific categories of risk, including strategic, operational, financial and compliance risks. More operational than risk appetite, risk tolerance expresses the specific maximum risk that an organization is willing to take regarding each relevant risk (sub-) category, often in quantitative terms. You will be expected to structure the entire regional landscape and aid the execution of this business critical workstream.

Building a system that alerts management to the breaching of a  risk tolerance level is your initial deliverable. This is an evolving topic, not a one-off exercise. Risk appetite, tolerance, targets and limits are not static. They must be updated with changes in a company's environment (economy, markets, regulations, technology etc.), strategy and performance.  We need flexible indivudals, able to think on their feet and firefight where necessary.
