Key responsibilities:

  • Executes day-to-day audit work on the basis of Deutsche Bank Group Audit Methodologies (conducts risk assessments, designs tests to assess control effectiveness for key risks, drafts audit reports for management review, facilitate issue tracking and validate closure of issues)
  • You will have the opportunity to lead and successfully deliver Markets' audits, or participate in integrated business audits, both locally and globally
  • Discuss exceptions found during fieldwork with Principal Auditor/VPs and Principal Audit Manager
  • Communicates with Principal Audit Manager regarding audit progress and escalates problems/delays
  • Completes audit work/assignments in line with agreed budgets
  • Participates in internal projects
  • Contributing to Risk Assessment Profiles and Continuous Audit Assessment for relevant business areas
  • Pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas and work in an integrated manner with fellow team members in London and other locations
  • Develops and maintains broad financial services experience and Bank knowledge.
  • Keeps abreast of business/industry changes and their impact on the Deutsche Bank plan/approach

You will have:

  • Previous work experience in audit or control function experience in a global investment banking
  • Significant experience of auditing in an investment banking environment including audit of capital markets products
  • Exposure to financial products and the ability to identify and evaluate risks and controls associated with these products
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risks within the control environment. Sound judgment on the impact of issues raised
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Knowledge of key regulatory changes and how these changes impact audit planning
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with the client
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher, and accountancy or other equivalent professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CIA, CISA) is beneficial
