As part of the comprehensive services we offer, FTCI provides unparalleled customized tax services to our clients. The Fiduciary Tax Services Team provides tax compliance and consulting to our clients. This position, Sr. Tax Accountant, is part of the Fiduciary Tax Services team

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare fiduciary Tax Returns for Trusts and Estates where Fiduciary Trust acts as Trustee and Executor as well as where Fiduciary acts as paid preparer for agency accounts.
  • Manage Tax planning for Trusts and Estates, including estimated taxes.
  • Conduct Tax Research in relation to Trusts and Estates
  • Review and interpret Trust documents
  • Work with Trust and Estate Administrators and Portfolio Managers to manage client accounts in a tax efficient manner.

Ideal candidates will have:
  • 8+ years of trust and estate tax experience
  • Bachelors is required; Accounting Major preferred
  • Proficient in Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Knowledge of business desktop applications (i.e.: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Project, Windows, Visio, etc.) required
  • Knowledge of ProSystem f(x), BNA Tax Planner, CCH Tax Research Network
  • Ability to interact with senior management on a regular basis
  • Ability to work independently
  • Master Degree in Tax desired
  • CPA preferred
  • CFP preferred
  • Experience with a public accounting firm preferred
