BSM Group are representing a client seeking a VP in the Treasury, Liquidity Risk space.

Overview:

  • Provide support in building, enhancing and executing the 2nd line of defense roles and responsibilities to ensure US Treasury activities, particularly related to liquidity risk, are in compliance with regulatory guidance and requirements and consistent with the Bank’s internal framework
  • Coordinate between Risk and Treasury functions, within US and Group, on the initiatives associated with Treasury Risk Oversight and governance
  • Monitor liquidity risk in both on- and off-balance sheet positions, particularly through stress test and FR2052a analytics, and coordinate with Treasury and the businesses to identify risks
  • Ad-hoc analytics as requested by senior management
  • Enhance independent US Treasury Risk Oversight capacities to US Treasury activities
  • Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Firm’s Liquidity Risk Assessment (“LRA”)
  • Develop complex data analysis techniques for use in the measurement of liquidity risk

Responsibilities 

  • Effective challenge on the limits, EWIs, CFP, and stress testing assumptions proposed by Treasury to make sure they meet regulatory requirements and are within the Bank’s risk appetite
  • Act thoughtfully and quickly in situations which involve uncertainty and/or significant risk. Understand the sense of urgency to accomplish tasks on time. Demonstrate a strong belief in one’s own ideas and judgement capabilities
