SWIB is seeking two (2) business analysts to play a key role in the organization acting as the primary point of contact for business units to meet their technology needs. This position requires a mix of investment and technology knowledge with the ability to liaise between functions in order to enhance business processes and maximize technology to meet business goals

Essential activities:

  • Act as the primary relationship manager and advisor to the assigned business (investment) unit for all IT-related needs including aligning business and technology strategies
  • Analyze and design business processes, workflows, and technology solutions to support the effective utilization of technology for improved efficiency
  • Lead in the research, design, construction, and implementation of solutions that meet the needs of the business (investment) units
  • Build business case justifications to support the pursuit of systems designed to meet the needs of the organization
  • Lead, facilitate, and coordinate meetings
  • Identify opportunities for process, system or other improvements that will help SWIB achieve its investment and business goals
  • Work with IT management to monitor the health of the application and services portfolio

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related required
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience required
  • Project management experience required
  •  Experience facilitating, designing, constructing, and implementing business solutions using  technology
  • Investment industry experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence

The position requires U.S. work authorization and residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance as needed.
