SWIB’s Information Technology Division is seeking a Systems Analyst to join its team. The incumbent will be responsible for operations support and systems administration for the organization’s trading and investment solutions, as well as managing and supporting critical and complex applications.

Essential activities:

  • Provide primary support for SWIB’s investment management system and trading desk.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to resolve system issues (i.e. workflow solutions, batch cycle troubleshooting, technical interface issues, hardware issues, etc.)
  • Build relationships with business units that will facilitate becoming an application and business workflow subject matter expert
  • Plan, create, and coordinate automated jobs
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing data delivery and resolve issues
  • Manage software releases to production environments
  • Evaluate system utilization, monitor response time and provide support for detection and correction of operational issues
  • Research, analyze, recommend, configure, install, and test new software
  • Create and keep up to date concise documentation and procedure manuals
  • Maintain operational control over use and program security


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar, preferred
  • Familiarity with investment systems and integration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Knowledge of trading or finance, preferred
  • Excellent customer service demeanor
  • Knowledge of Charles River, Eagle Pace, and/or Markit EDM
  • Experience using development and database tools

The position requires U.S. work authorization and residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance as needed.
