The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance in managing and maintaining the OFX Compliance Program in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance in managing and maintaining the OFX Compliance Program in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. You will work closely with the broader global compliance team and other internal stakeholders in managing key elements of our compliance framework, as well as utilising opportunities to drive continuous improvement. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Ongoing maintenance and enhancement of policies to ensure compliance with the company’s Australian financial services licence conditions, as well as other licencing requirements across Asia Pacific
  • Act as a key adviser to the business in relation to compliance requirements and provide compliance training to drive and encourage an effective compliance culture
  • Manage the ongoing compliance monitoring and controls testing framework including providing analysis, feedback and reporting
  • Coordinate internal audit reviews of compliance and other business functions
  • Regularly report to senior management in relation to relevant compliance matters and regulatory change
  • Guide and mentor another Compliance team member responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and compliance obligations in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

What you’ll bring

Qualifications 

  • Tertiary qualifications / professional qualification in a Law, Commerce or Business and/ or technical discipline. 

Knowledge, skills, experience

  • 5+ years of financial services experience with a strong risk management and compliance background
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial services and licence obligations in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong (other Asian market experience is favourable)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation as well as with external stakeholders 
  • Leadership skills with a strong interest in coaching and mentoring staff 
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-directed, professional and strong initiative and organisational skills 
  • Money remittance / payments experience is preferred though not essential.
