System Administrator

We are expanding our Managed Services Team based in Sydney and are looking for a keen Systems Administrator to assist with looking after the FIS Private Cloud. The position has become available due to customer growth and increased compliance requirements.
As a world leader in the Fintech space FIS develop a host of financial solutions. Recent market trends and advancements in technology have meant more customers are looking for SaaS offerings of our products, reducing the maintenance required to run our software in house.
This role entails managing the infrastructure which is used to deliver SaaS and Cloud application solutions for our customers. An example of one of our hosted offerings can be seen in this video link:

This is an ideal position for a junior administrator to gain skills across many industry standard technologies and gain exposure to designing, building, and supporting customer facing / mission-critical solutions.

Responsibilities:
•Provisions and configures customer environments (VMWare / Windows), databases (MS SQL Server) and applications (IIS, .Net HTML 5)
•Maintains production systems and applications once deployed and ensure they are functioning as designed. Tasks include: Participating in system patching, system backups and DR activities.
•Provides front-line support to end-users and other businesses on technical issues and problems relating to the FIS Private Cloud Platform.
•Analyses problems, documents and communicates resolution and conducts follow up. Escalates problems to appropriate teams when necessary.
•Provides 24 x 7 on-call support (on a shift basis) for all production systems
•Interfaces with FIS support, professional services, development, and clients to analyse and resolve issues and recommend best practices.
•Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and change control processes to manage production systems and applications.
•Documents processes, SOPs and run-books.
•Interprets and presents data and conclusions to management as needed.
•Improve methodologies used in the job.

Required Skills:
•Knowledge of Cisco ASA routers with the ability to add / update / remove firewall rules
•Knowledge of administering Windows-based production systems in virtualized environments (VMWare)
•Knowledge of .Net, HTML 5 applications and databases (MS SQL Server)
•Ability to adhere to change control procedures and practises
•Good analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
•Provide application-support for .Net / HTML5 based applications
•Good team and customer communication skills
