Job description

As Advisory Accountant you will have the following tasks and responsibilities in the leasing and factoring domain:

  • Ensure the proper accounting of the products Lease and Factoring in the daily and monthly closing process.
  • Follow-up on changes in the accounting standards and rules and updating the different accounting schemes when needed
  • Reconciliation between contract handling system and general leger
  • Equity reconciliation
  • Give input to associate accountants/ product line in complex transactions
  • Assure correct IFRS reporting with regards to Loan Loss Provisions, Pensions, Deferred taxes,...
  • Back up Tax/VAT specialist Lease Product
  • First contact for auditors
  • Back up team manager


Your profile

Knowledge and experience

    • Master Degree: economics, business studies,..
    • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting
    • A first experience in Banking and/or Leasing is an added value
    • Good knowledge in the domains of accounting and tax matters
  • Interest in the continuous changing world of accounting policies
    • Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.

You will work within the Finance area. The finance professionals from ING support the management and business Lines when it comes to financial matters. Within the department, all reporting lines get together. The department is the financial heart of ING Belgium. The people working there are responsible for financial reporting and control, purchase and sale of business units, for capital planning and tax payments.

You will work within the Accounting and Reporting department, in charge of managing both statutory and consolidated accounting for ING Belgium. The department provides Financial Reporting to all stakeholders (regulators, head-office, management...).
