Equity Analyst

As an Equity analyst, you will bring support to the monitoring of direct equity investments and Private Equity funds. You will work under the joint responsibility of the Chief Risk & Monitoring Officer (CRMO) and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

Your role:

  1. Perform equity portfolio monitoring tasks under the responsibility of the CRMO
  • Follow up the reporting (financials, development indicators …) to be received from clients and feed BIO’s Management Information system (MIS)
  • Preparation and verification of disbursements
  • Update equity investments’ risk ratings
  • Update statistics on Equity portfolio (calculation of Internal rate of return, multiples, valuation …)
  1. Support the Equity team @ Investment department level : under the responsibility of the CIO
  • Managing a portfolio of diverse equity investments together with Investment Officers
  • Preparation of documents for different internal Committees
  • Preparation of Boards of Directors meetings and Advisory Committees organized at Client level
  • Preparation of waiver notes
  • Preparation (and participation) of Due Diligence missions

Your profile

  • Master in Business Administration/Finance or related field
  • 2 to 5 years post graduation relevant work experience, ideally as Corporate banker/auditor/equity analyst or any other similar function
  • Language skills: written and spoken English + French or Dutch.  Spanish is an asset
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, precise & meticulous
  • Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and strive for results
  • Interested in emerging and developing markets
  • Willingness to travel abroad, meet and discuss with clients
  • Good communication skills, Team player
