Enterprise Infrastructure (EI)
EI is the global technology group that delivers the software and hardware technology infrastructure solutions that make our businesses run. The team develops, engineers, and operates the Windows/Linux server and desktop platforms, cross business systems/applications, data centers, voice and data networking solutions, wireless technologies, databases and mainframes.

Key Responsibilities
As Asia Head of CID, the successful candidate will manage a regional team of ~30 developers in Shanghai & Hong Kong responsible for the design, engineering, development, and deployment of various core infrastructure and end user applications. Product offerings include windows desktop & server management, remote access, data leakage protection, software deployment, virtual desktop/server provisioning, IaaS and PaaS solutions. Products developed across a wide array of languages including C#, SQL, C++, Java, Javascript, Perl, Python, & Powershell.


Required Leadership Skills
-Excellent Global Communication & Coordination skills - Ability to clearly express (verbally and written) status, design, thoughts & ideas to varying audiences from junior developers to senior management & stakeholders across multiple regions in Asia & outside Asia including Budapest, London, Montreal & NY.

-Strong Collaboration mindset to partner with Global technology managers across Engineering, Product Management, & Operations and define short term and long-term strategy and goals based on functional & technical vision for end user computing products.

-Understand and inform a strategic vision for end user computing technology and capability to develop a detailed execution strategy with the team and oversee its delivery

-Excellent Leadership and Management skills - must be able to coach, mentor, and inspire Vice President level leads and teams to efficiently drive short term and long term deliverables as well as apply appropriate judgment of when to delegate vs when to deep dive as needed.

-Responsible for the budgeting, project estimates, task management & balancing prioritization across multiple streams of development for applications owned by Asia team.

-Promote standardization of SDLC process including use of Agile methodologies, Task Management, Design & Coding Standards, Test Driven Development, Continuous Build & Delivery, and consistent dev processes.

-Reduce the effort of Production Support done by Development team with dedicated focus on completing handover to Operational support, reduction of technical debt, and decommissioning of legacy products.

-Responsible for people management, mentoring and career development process for Asia team including delivering performance reviews, promotion vetting, travel, training, recruiting, and compensation communication.

-Accountable to global senior management for quality deliverables that meet EUC goals, expectation management, issue resolution and timely status communications, and risk management thru SDLC process.

Required Technical Skills
-Proven experience in engineering, developing and executing technology strategies
-Knowledge of support standards (e.g. ITIL)
-Application development experience using Object Oriented design principles (C# or Java)
-Strong Database / SQL Experience
-Continuous Build Systems expertise (Jenkins, Team City)
-Experience with IoC, Dependency Injection principles
-Thorough knowledge of design patterns
-Knowledge of highly scalable software architecture patterns
-Experience with cloud based systems (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

Preferred Technical Skills but not required
-Experience in Enterprise Infrastructure organization
-Microsoft Azure Stack (on prem)
-Office 365 product stack and technologies
-Familiarity with Asia's regulatory environment
-Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure (off prem), AWS
-Active Directory and LDAP knowledge
-Micro services architectures Containers (e.g. Docker)
-Configuration Management systems e.g. SCCM, BigFix, Chef, Salt, Puppet
