Morgan Stanley’s Operational Risk Technology Coverage Office is seeking a strong Identity Theft Fraud Risk Specialist (Associate), based in Shanghai, China. The selected individual will play a role in the management of the Firm’s Global Identity Theft Prevention Program (“the Program”), focusing on safeguarding clients against identity theft global wide. A core objective of the Program is to detect, prevent and mitigate the risk of identity theft for our clients through the use of ‘red flags’.

The Program is a Firmwide initiative, led by the Operational Risk Technology Coverage Office, with Legal, Compliance and Risk Management oversight. Key drivers of the program include various U.S. regulatory requirements and adherence to the Firms’ high standards in protecting clients from financial harm. Program management requires significant organizational and functional coordination with Business Units, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Operations, IT, Corporate Security, AML and Litigation.

This role will report to the Head of ORD Data Analytics in Shanghai, with a dotted reporting line to the Technology Coverage Officer in New York.

Job Description

- Play a key role in establishing processes around the management of the Program, including the creation and maintenance of procedural guides and documents.

- Support the creation and maintenance of Program materials relating to:

- Incident collection, analysis and reporting,

- Red Flag procedures,

- Integration and periodic reviews of covered accounts and in-scope service providers,

- Steering committee materials,

- Annual report,

- Program policies and procedures,

- Training and communications materials,

- Topical research of identity theft issues and methods of fraud, prevalent in the industry.



Qualifications:



- 3+ years of experience working within an Anti-money Laundering, Compliance, Operational Risk or Fraud group for a medium to large size financial institution. Prior experience working on identity theft or privacy issues is desirable, but not required

- Previous experience building or maintaining programs with responsibility for training and communications, incident collection, analysis and reporting, review of policies and procedures, etc.

- Strong project management skills with experience working on large global or multi-divisional or cross-functional projects

- Strong technical skills with Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio

- Strong understanding of operational risk management concepts

- Ability to perform detailed analysis and present findings with limited guidance

- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in English

- Flexible and self-motivated
