Trade Operation Associate

Our Client is a European commercial bank.

Position: Trade Finance Operation

Report to: Head of Trade Finance Operation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Depending on each task allocated, the processing covers the carrying out of all trade finance business processes in accordance with the rules, regulations and compliance-related requirements
  • Advising of customers with due consideration given to their specific needs and the bank's operational requirements
  • Ensuring mandatory control, transactional checks in respect of which suspicions occur that they are aimed at legalizing (laundering) of illegal earnings or terrorism financing
  • Ensuring identification of a client, its representatives, beneficiaries and beneficial owners as well as update of information on them in the manner, in the sufficient volume and in the time frame stipulated by local legislation, internal regulations of the bank aimed at Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT)
  • Observe the bank's rules of action, laws, policies and regulations, including, but not limited to, regulations on competences, limits, regulations pursuant to ComRules in Comnet, Code of Conduct, Compliance Regulations (Sanctions, AML, KYC, Fraud prevention, Markets, Anti-Bribery and Corruption rules etc)
  • Ensuring compliance with first line of defence responsibilities
  • He/she helps young employees and may be required to act as a speaker within the framework of the bank's qualification measures

Requirements:
  • Above 5 years working experience within related function
  • Apprenticeship in banking, preferably completed with 'Bankfachwirt', or
  • Completed Dual Study (combination of apprenticeship or job with university or university of applied science), or
  • Completed University or University of Applied Science study, or
  • Proof of other adequate qualification
  • Fluency in local language, English and preferably other third language
