Accounting Manager (General Ledger Team)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly closing and prepare reports as management requires
  • Assist to compile accounting treatment on new products in compliance with accounting standards requirements
  • Compile user requirements and perform user acceptance test on accounting systems
  • Participate in developing and maintaining procedure manuals
  • Ad hoc projects to support management's decision

Requirements:
  • Degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • 2-3 years' bank experience in financial reporting or audit experience in a Big Four or recognized reputable accounting firm is preferable
  • Qualified member of HKICPA or other professional accountancy bodies
  • Knowledge and experience in VBA Macro and strong mastery of MS Office, particularly in Excel and Word.
  • Good knowledge of Hong Kong GAAP, IFRS and relevant regulations
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with tight deadline
  • Good knowledge in financial analysis, strong analytical skills and critical mindset, capable of examining and analyzing financial and management information with business acumen
  • Good presentation and report writing skills in both Chinese and English and Chinese word processing skills is a must
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
  • Experience in performing user acceptance test is an advantage
