Role Description:
Equities Cash is one of the most challenging and potentially rewarding areas to work within Citi Markets Technology. The application stack for Middle Office (MO) consists of a significant number of interwoven applications and components providing functions around accurate post-trade capturing, trade allocation, timely client confirmation generation and reporting for end users internally and externally across 12 markets in APAC. The MO support team looks after the applications with the aim of ensuring high system availability and stability, as well as end-user support.
The role entails working in the team in Hong Kong, developing application expertise, driving and tracking projects around stability and service improvement, incident resolution and follow-up activities and providing day to day support for the business and operation teams within the region.
The Equities Production Services group consists predominantly of business-facing teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Korea, India and Indonesia. The role would be to provide business facing support for the Equities MO applications working in tandem with the regional teams including the regional & in-country infrastructure support.
The successful candidate will be working closely with his/her peers in the region and also report into the APAC Equities Cash Production Support Lead in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate should be technically astute, well organized, and proactive and also be comfortable discussing issues with business and technical users at all levels. The successful candidate is expected to provide hands-on business facing support and would be working with teams in India, Belfast, Canada and NY to provide seamless support to our applications globally. In addition, this person will work closely with operations, development teams and business units. He / She also needs to possess good multi-tasking skills. The candidate must be willing to participate in the work shift Rota which includes weekends. It is anticipated that this role will involve a lot of hands-on work, so technical skills are essential.


Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in support role on global applications
  • Demonstrable track record of hands-on application support experience
  • Ability to develop scripts/tools for process improvement and automation
  • Ability to communicate well in written and verbal English at all levels
  • Self-motivated & proactive
  • Able to cope well working under pressure
  • Strong trouble shooting skills
  • Strong organizational skills
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and any SQL (Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2)
  • ITRS monitoring tools exposure and experienced in managing ITRS gateways
  • Knowledge of Equities front/middle/ back office processes and technology
  • Scripting knowledge in UNIX/Perl
