FP&A Team Lead in JPMorgan Asia Banking base in Hong Kong



Banking Asia Pacific Planning & Analysis team actively supports the business, CFO and management team in helping implement the regional agenda by making available accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis. Members of the team may need to partner with teammates across geographies on project with regional or global impact. The team reports to the Asia Banking P&A head.




  • Provide business and technical expertise in developing/performing data analysis and reporting in an Access, Excel or PowerPoint environment(s), to support standard reporting and ad-hoc analysis

  • Develop and review of analytical MIS to support various senior management discussions

  • Analyze financial results and provide commentary on preliminary and final, plan and forecast P&L, Balance Sheet, Headcount and other KPIs

  • Partner with BM’s, controllers and various PnA groups of different LOB’s

  • Be part of the yearly plan and monthly forecast process

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis of financial results for senior management

  • Partner with global P&A teams

  • Lead hub teams to ensure smooth execution of tasks


Experience and qualifications



  • Detail oriented and result driven without compromising control

  • Ability to interact and partner with, support, and drive senior members of the finance organization

  • Ability to understand data and translate it into MIS/information that drives decision making

  • Strong communication skills at all levels — confident and organised with the ability to provide reasoning to senior management team

  • Ability to work both as a part of the team and to lead the team and to independently work to strict deadlines

  • Ability to listen, think, digest and take structured actions to handle high pressure situations


  • Strong understanding of and experience in management reporting and analysis

  • Ability to interrogate and interpret financial reports

  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills

  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.

  • Understanding of basic financial concepts – DCF, IRR, etc.

  • Prior use of MIS tools such as Business Objects, DRR, Paragon, TM1, FDW

  • Basic understanding of firm’s products desirable
