Description



 



The Banking Asia Pacific Planning & Analysis team actively supports the GIB/TS Heads, CFO and management team in helping implement the regional agenda by making available accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis. Members of the team may need to partner with teammates across geographies on projects with regional or global impact.



 



Responsibilities



 





  • Design, source, develop and implement new analytics to allow Banking heads to accurately measure business performance.




  • Liaise directly with senior management to understand analytical requirements and then conceptualise them and gain sign off before moving to implementation stage.




  • Work with multiple large data sources and understand how to interpret, summarise and slice and dice information accurately and perform reconciliations.




  • Support multiple ad hoc requests from business and senior management and provide them in an accurate and timely manner.




  • Able to understand the changing business needs and redesign MIS and analysis around the same




  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives




  • Analyse, communicate and deliver on high quality MIS in stringent timelines




  • Proactive involvement in the business and development of infrastructure required to support reporting and analysis





 





  • Very detail oriented and results driven without compromising control




  • Drive things proactively




  • Ability to understand large amounts of data and translate it into MIS/information that drives decision making




  • Strong communication skills




  • Ability to work both as a part of the team and independently, able to work to strict deadlines




  • Ability to listen, think, digest and take structured actions to handle high pressure situations 




  • Strong understanding of and experience in management reporting and analysis




  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills




  • Advanced MS Excel, VBA, MS PowerPoint and MS Access skills




  • Advanced Qlikview development skills




  • Prior use of MIS tools such as Qliksense, Business Objects, DRR, Paragon, TM1, FDW is a plus




  • Any statistical, accounting and analytical experience an advantage
