Within Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Broking Services provides full investment services in stocks, bonds, currencies, precious metals, commodities and derivatives to retail, corporate customers and financial intermediaries. As a leading full service broker dealer in Hong Kong, our investment services include advisory, execution, risk and portfolio management, custodianship, and margin financing.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Capital Market Unit Senior Manager or Director .

Principal responsibilities

  • Manage and drive the Equity Capital Market or Debt Capital Market and Over the Counter product business at HSBC Broking Services.
  • Manage the distribution process of Over the Counter products.
  • Lead the end to end process in sourcing and distribution of Initial Public Offering, placement and Over the Counter products.
  • Ensure fully compliance with regulatory and internal policy.
  • Represent HSBC Broking Services to connect with key sponsors or syndicates in Hong Kong or International Initial Public Offerings.
  • Collaborate with both Front and back office to deliver a success in every Initial Public Offering or placement HSBC Broking Services participates.

  • University degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
  • Relevant experience in origination of debt or equity capital market transactions
  • Eligible to register for Securities and Futures Commission Type 1 and 4 license
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as Chartered Financial Analyst , Chartered Financial Analyst , Financial Risk Management or equivalent advantageous
  • Experience of the HSBC Group, its culture, policies and procedures, or similar global organizations
  • Strong knowledge of HSBC Broking Services' products and services
  • Excellent understanding of leading practices, processes and trends in finance
  • Solid communication, good negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of issues and challenges presented by the changing regulatory environment
  • Ability to work independently under tight timeline
  • Strong people manager, able to lead teams and develop others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
