Position Overview

Role Description:

The primary role of China Institutional Coverage based in Hong Kong is to develop relationship and close business from prospects and existing institutional clients in China for Active, Passive and Alternatives products. This will involve working with portfolio managers and product specialists regionally and globally to promote investment product sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy, account performance, new products and markets developments, and ensuring clients receive full and efficient services.

Role Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Responsible for development and expansion of institutional client base in China
  • Become well acquainted with potential clients' strategies and marketing objectives, conduct new business presentations, structure deals for clients by leveraging internal resource
  • Cross border communication and build productive working relationships with all other departments and co-work with team members to achieve the team sales goal
  • In partnership with regional head of client service, develop and aid in the implementation of a client service strategy aimed at client retention and growth

People Management:

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
  • Excellent language skills in English and Mandarin
  • Sales-oriented, highly self-motivated and good time management skills
  • Strong team player
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Experience/ Exposure:

Work Experience / Knowledge:
  • Minimum 5+ years' of experience in sales or investment within the financial industry
  • Broad products coverage, strong networking, initiative thinking and strategic planning experience

Education/ Qualifications:
  • Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
  • Degree holder – preferably in finance
