Head of Business & Process Control

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead Hong Kong specific end-to-end Policy Implementation process, including the design of procedures
  • Represent Hong Kong BPC / Front Office in global implementation of policies
  • Oversees locally the Surveillance team’s surveillance activities - Work closely with Legal and Compliance in Hong Kong, as well as the global Surveillance team in implementing relevant first line of defence controls to meet the requirements of BOS Group and local policies and procedures as well as in delivering a highly efficient and effective operating system
  • Review and approve surveillance methodologies from a Hong Kong perspective, in areas including but not limited to BOS Sales Policy, Cross Border Marketing guidelines, Fair Dealing Code and other local policies and procedures
  • Proactively provide training and guidance when rolling out new policies and procedures, solicit feedback and look for opportunities to enhance process and efficiency on an on-going basis to ensure policies and procedures are well understood and implemented
  • Analyze relevant management reports and lead initiatives to resolve unidentified gaps
  • Escalate exceptions or queries raised to Hong Kong senior management
  • Overall responsible for Hong Kong FO RCSA and RRSA completion
  • Oversee Complaints Handling in Hong Kong
  • Coordinates discussions with relevant stakeholders to resolve escalated issues or solution gaps identified from RCSA, RRSA or recurring issues from complaints handling

Requirement

  • Degree holder
  • Exposure in Private Banking for at least 5 years is mandatory
  • Preference will be for business procedures development, monitoring and surveillance experience and skills demonstrated in Private Banking
  • A driven self-starter who is delivery focused and possesses strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment and is able to adapt to various demands in a diverse culture
  • Familiar with relevant rules and regulations, in particular those relating to local private banking business
