We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Product Architect and Chief Designer.

Principal responsibilities

  • ​Work in the Global Solution Architecture global discipline in Global Utilities, responsible for the product architecture design of one or more strategic products in Global Utilities which covers the strategic design principles and the approach it is engineered, deployed and used.
  • Work in collaboration with Product Engineering teams in Global Utilities by providing the fundament design and strategic architecture of a product.
  • Work with ITID Architecture and various ITID teams to determine the infrastructure design and implementation for the products.
  • Participate as Product Architect in corresponding DevOps Product POD's.
  • Ensure that an in house product, together with it related external products or components, are engineered and implemented in an appropriate manner that matches the strategic needs of the Bank.
  • Ensure that HSBC Security standards are met in product design.
  • Ensure long term sustainability, and long term fit for purpose of a product, by a flexible design and constant reviews against market situation.
  • Oversee the process to ensure improvement requirement and real user experiences are taken into consideration of Product Design or Architecture by appropriate feedback loops and DevOps requirement backlog processes.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • ​University degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, and professional knowledge in computer science and engineering.
  • Proven expert level technical experience in any IT discipline in development, support and management of infrastructure or application software.
  • Proven experience in dealing with users or consumers in agile or devops manner.
  • Skill in writing system design and architecture specifications to control the engineering design, development and deployment of strategic products.
  • Experience and basic knowledge of HSBC IT systems and its technical environment.
  • Experience in managing or coordinating system development projects.
  • Experience in delivering projects in one or more of the following domains an advantage, that includes workflow, document imaging, outbound customer communications and document management.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure development and management will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Banking Operations domain is an advantage.
  • Project Management Professional certification is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation, project management and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple technical projects.
  • Able to work effectively with teams in multiple locations or countries.
  • Strong navigation skills and ability to understand business requirements.
  • Sensitive to numbers from a business perspective.
  • Strong self motivation and sense of responsibility.
