We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Head of Mortgages.

Principal responsibilities

  • Collaborating with peer regional Heads, Global Banking and Global Functions Business, and other senior stakeholders to implement goals in region within entity, policy, expense, regulatory constraints, in line with Technology strategy, priorities, and budgets
  • Ensuring that all Technology Practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to
  • Direct cost, headcount management, and annual planning for country teams
  • Develop Country technology roadmap, covering all relevant Global Banking and Global Functions and Technology Function activities in country, to support region COO in the effective delivery of key business objectives
  • Provide regional COO with full oversight of and advice on all Technology issues related to the Country
  • Oversee change initiation, design and accountable for successful delivery of one or more programmes to achieve benefits realisation
  • Drive strategy and shape the programme approach across various delivery teams including DevOps teams and business functions
  • Develop a roadmap for delivery of technology into region to support Business objectives in line with the Global IT strategy
  • Building Business confidence in IT delivery capability and achieving stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
  • Ensuring service availability, capacity and operability of Mortgage systems within region
  • Overseeing effectiveness of controls to ensure compliance with HSBC Service Management and Infrastructure Build policies and standards
  • Successful programme delivery by proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
  • Staffing, responsibilities and schedules for project resources
  • Establishment of effective programme controls and procedures, aligned to BTF 2.0 and Agile
  • Adoption of HSBC standards, alignment with HSBC Transformation Methodology and Disciplined Agile Framework across programme
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
  • Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the programme aligns to the change portfolio

  • ​Experience working in the Agile methodology and the use of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Past working experience in a relevant role
  • Proven ability to manage large teams across multiple initiatives and locations, with effective budgetary and risk management and control
  • Availability to undertake the travel required for this role
  • Experience working in relevant market
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
  • The ability to understand and interpret straightforward financial data
