Job Description

  • The Strategy Analyst executes strategy projects in support of the company’s business growth in the Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, the Strategy Analyst will work closely with Global Strategy team (Boston/London) and regional business leaders to:

  • Conduct “deep dive” analyses on key business issues, and develop recommendations to improve performance

  • Lead and/or participate in regional and global strategy planning efforts

  • Identify and evaluate strategic growth initiatives including organic and in-organic opportunities

  • Develops and utilizes frameworks and other tools to help business leaders structure their problems

  • Help develop, maintain, and communicate the State Street strategic vision

  • Establishes and maintains relationship with internal and external clients and service providers



  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Exceptional logical writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey complex ideas simply

  • Advanced analytical (financial modeling and statistical analysis) and research skills

  • Proven experience managing and leading work teams

  • Excellent influencing skills, including ability to work effectively across a large organization, execute projects, and build and manage cross-functional relationships

  • Strong project management abilities, including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • MBA from a top-tier program or equivalent graduate level education preferred

  • At least 4 years of strategic consulting experience or equivalent corporate strategy experience

  • Exposure and understanding of the financial services industry
