Job Responsibilities: 

  • Source, screen, analyze, and make presentations on potential investment opportunities; prepare business presentations and write-ups for investment committee; conduct research, analytics and financial modeling on industries, markets, companies and transactions
  • Deal captain role in leading and managing ongoing communications with transaction counterparties and third-party advisors; independently drive overall transaction process
  • Manage transaction structuring, negotiations, and due diligence (both in-house and external)
  • Support portfolio management and operations teams in managing investee businesses from investment through exit
  • Manage and train investment team associates and analysts

Necessary Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university; MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred
  • 5 to 10 years experience in private equity (or relevant buy-side positions)
  • Strong business and financial analytical capabilities, as well as strong verbal and written presentation skills
  • Business fluency (both verbal and written) in English is required; in addition high preference towards business fluency in Mandarin Chinese
  • Must be highly self-motivated, independent, and have the ability to take ownership of projects and deliver high quality work product with minimum guidance; ability to work in a “small company” environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work and excel in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
  • Preference towards prior sector experience in transportation, logistics, infrastructure, real estate, or related financial services industries.
