the role of the new associate is to assist the senior deal team members in all aspects of the origination, structuring and implementation of Infrastructure and Energy mandates

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Assisting in all aspects of the marketing process including market research
  • Preparing pitch books
  • Reviewing due diligence material (market, technical, insurance, legal, tax)
  • Assisting in all aspects of the credit process and in the execution of advisory mandates
  • Preparing credit applications
  • Cash flow modeling on advisory mandates; review and analysis of models received from clients/advisors in the context of arranging mandates
  • Assisting in the preparation and writing of reports, info memos etc.
  • Ensuring that all credit and marketing material is completed in a timely manner and to the expected standard
  • Assisting in portfolio management activities (waiver, amendments, annual reviews etc.)
  • Ensuring all compliance procedures are adhered to
  • Keeping up to date with changes in the infrastructure and energy markets
  • Work jointly with other Business Lines, including Derivatives Desk, Infrastructure Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc., as well as support functions
  • Participation in ad hoc projects as they arise
  • Utilization of internal tools
  • Ensuring all aspects of work are done in accordance with relevant Société Générale policies and procedures
  • Performing permanent supervision

 

Degree of autonomy: Expected to achieve a reasonable degree of autonomy in the short/medium term, however, at an initial stage would be closely supervised by the Directors of the team

 

Profile Requirements:

  • Master of Science in a related discipline, such as Business Administration, Economics, Engineering etc.
  • Solid knowledge of either the infrastructure or the energy finance industry and the relevant business operation
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in banking, strategic finance consulting, infrastructure or energy funds, large corporates or auditing firms
  • Good cash flow modeling experience
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Flexible and strong team player
  • Enthusiastic person with willingness to learn and grow
  • Italian native speaker with fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of French is a plus
