one of our client, a well-known financial institution, is currently recruiting a Regulatory Compliance Manager. We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in Luxembourg with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance matters and confident interaction with the regulators. English is essential, French is a huge advantage.

Regulatory Compliance Manager (M/F)


Reporting to the Head of RC, the RC Manager will perform Regulatory Compliance coverage for the different entities in Luxembourg.

The main responsibilities of the role are the following:

  • Mitigating the risk of operational losses (e.g. regulatory fines) through 1) providing proactive Compliance support and advice to the business; 2) identifying and assessing business regulatory and compliance function risks; and 3) the development and implementation of a risk based Compliance Monitoring and Review Plan.
  • Set strategic policies that ensure local exposure to compliance and regulatory risk is managed in a commercially sensitive and practical manner whilst maintaining adherence to the letter and the spirit of all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
  • Support local senior management in the execution of business and operational strategies and initiatives; advising on all compliance aspects associated with transactions, projects or initiatives.
  • Support the local, regional and Group Compliance Functions in managing all material regulatory/compliance issues that arise, in RC;
  • Fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators


  • University graduate,
  • 5 years' experience as a compliance manager or equivalent within a global firm, in the financial services industry.
  • Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with regulators.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated person with a naturally proactive approach;
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • A legal or formal accountancy qualification or background in one of these as risk or audit discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel (Access is a pro);
  • Fluency in English required, French and/or another European language desired.
