Tax Accountant II

• Source information, calculate payments on account and prepare tax returns
• Review externally prepared returns prior to submission, arrange for payments and journals, and prepare reconciliations.
• Develop a good understanding of various European tax systems and keep up to date with legislative changes and tax rates in relevant countries.
• Prepare current and, where relevant, deferred tax provisions for the financial statements of the group.
• Assist with tax audits and transfer pricing projects.
• Assist the Tax Managers with ad hoc projects such as new branch set ups, expense policy guidance, software upgrades etc.

• University degree in Accounting/Finance or related subjects ideally with a specialization in Taxation.
• with a minimum of 2 years' successful experience in a Direct Tax role with a Fiduciary or International Group.
• Full or part qualified Tax or Accounting professional (e.g. CTA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) will be an advantage.
• Experience in European corporate tax is essential and a knowledge of either French, German, Dutch or Luxembourgish Tax systems is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with ERP systems and tax software systems.
• Accurate and reliable with good analytical skills. Well organized and service orientated, with business awareness and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Pro-active, autonomous, and self-starting while being a Team Player.
• Good working knowledge of the Excel is essential.
• Fluent in English essential, any other European language is an asset.
