We are seeking a future team member for the role of Manager to join our Financial Reporting Oversight team. This role is located in Luxembourg - hybrid.

The Financial Reporting Oversight team within BNY Mellon S.A./N./V. (Luxembourg Branch) is responsible for the oversight of annual, quarterly, and semi-annual financial statements for our clients.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Build and maintain key relationships with our Alternatives (AIS) clients and their auditors
• Oversee the oversight process for the draft financial statements in compliance with regulated fund law. Lux GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, INREV and IPEV Guidelines experience is a requisite. Interpretation of these standards or guidelines need to be applied to the financial statement preparation process
• Extensive experience in IFRS Reporting, including consolidation under IFRS 10 exemption for investment entities.
• Solid understanding of valuations for listed and non-listed financial instruments disclosures requirements.
• Review audit technical memos on reporting maters, e.g. investment entity, IFRS 9, related parties, going concern, etc
• Directly manage delivery of service to AIS clients which will involve liaison with external clients, investment managers, custodians and auditors
• Ensure the comfort letters are prepared and shared with auditors
• Be the point of contact for any Lux GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP accounting treatment and provide training to team members locally.
• Ensure the filing of annual or semi-annual accounts on the Luxembourg Companies Register and eCDF filing are done correctly and within deadlines.
• Represent the BNY financial reporting team at client board meetings
• Provide an element of sales support and will be required to attend presentations, due diligence reviews, both onsite at BNYM and at client
• Provide ideas on enhancement and improving of automation of financial reporting files.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external policy and regulation. Ensure all errors, breaches or client incidents are reported in line with current procedures.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Financial reporting /audit background required. Experience in AIS institutional accounting processes advantageous, particularly familiarization with various accounting standards is a basic requirement.
• Effective written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with clients, auditors, investment managers, custodians and internally. Proficiency in English
• Excellent technical and numerical skills, with accurate analysis & checking of work.data manipulation,
• Have a flexible attitude responding to the varying demands experienced in a financial services environment.
• Develop own knowledge, to include the financial products used by our clients, operational procedures within the department and those of our internal stakeholders and current market developments.
