INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL DATA SERVICES LUXEMBOURG ("IFDSL") Chief Operations Officer, Managing Director

Position Overview: This key senior appointment, at Managing Director level, is reporting to the Head of International Financial Data Services, Luxembourg. This role will be a member of the Executive Committee, the successful candidate will :
- Manage day-to-day Transfer Agency Operations with the support of the operational and client servicing functional heads working in a complex global model with a range of outsource partners
- Ensure continuous, high quality service and delivery to our clients, in line with the client operating models and Service Level Agreements.
- Develop and implement procedures, aligned to regulation and corporate policy, that allow operations to run in a controlled manner within our risk appetite parameters
- Contribute to the design and execution of operational strategy and transformational change at IFDS.
- Act as the primary point of escalation and owner for all operational activities

CLIENT AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS
- Take ownership for delivering business and client objectives
- Obtain a very good understanding of clients / business trends such that the role holder is able to advise and consult with clients on new trends, regulations or areas of concern
- Build strong relationships with clients. Listen to client feedback and requirements towards finding solutions or consensus
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with global operating partners and with key shareholder contacts
PEOPLE
- Motivates and influences Managers and Team to deliver high level of performance while still managing risk
- Inspire and empower others to maximize performance which contributes to the overall business strategy. Objectively monitor team results and drive corrections or changes as needed
- Promote and provide opportunities for her/his team to develop professional skills
COMMUNICATION
- Adapt communication (verbal / written) to audience. Be clear, concise, concrete and build appropriate argumentation when required.
- Provide continuous, proactive and constructive feedback to managers and more senior colleagues
- Communicates well and often. Encourages open and honest feedback from all levels. Enable transparency and ensure all appropriate information is cascaded down

Required Competencies - Graduate with related degree (preferably in a Finance, Economics, Business)
- Extensive work experience in a Senior Management role within the financial sector, (min of 15 years' experience in fund industry)
- Experience in the mutual fund industry is critical, with deep understanding of the applicable regulation and industry practices
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as high level of confidence interacting with senior business professionals
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills including good decision making, multi-tasking abilities, initiative, follow-through and the ability to work autonomously
- Team player with ability to evidence leadership, credibility, and build consensus
- Ability to engage internal stakeholders across a number of different functional departments
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Customer Service orientation, with a proven ability to work with clients/customers and internal groups
- Ability to manage stressful situations
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and develop new proposals
- Ability to manage direct and indirect reports making up a virtual team
- Fluent English language skills. French, German or Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
