For our private banking activities in Luxembourg, we are currently looking to recruit a:

Client Lifecycle Management Analyst

1-year Fixed-term contract 

Role and Responsibilities:

The CLM team sits in the first line of defence (1 LoD) and evaluates the quality of the client information gathered, provided and consolidated for the client on boarding, customer due diligence (CDD), KYC, and client tax documentation and tax classification.

Within CLM, under a single organizational structure, the goal is to provide a consistent and practical end-to-end operational support to the Front Office covering all stages of a client lifecycle from on boarding to servicing to exit management.

He/she will provide advisory support to the Front Office at the account opening and during the account maintenance (about CDD/AML/KYC and Operational Tax related subjects), other than in monitoring and enhancing processes and controls.

The role also includes close collaboration with other areas within the Bank, including in particular Luxembourg Legal, Compliance and with GPB Tax. The CLM Analyst also provides support on projects in line with regulatory or internal policy requirements, some compliance aspects (KYC Periodic Review) and US tax issues (QI – FATCA-CRS).

Principal accountabilities:

  • Efficient analysis of the legal, compliance and operational tax related matters (documentation validation, screening, client profile review) at onboarding and during the life of the account, in line with the local financial and legal requirements and HSBC rules;
  • Efficient understanding of systems (Appway/Avaloq)
  • Close collaboration with 2 LoD risk Stewards
  • Monitoring the update/completion of the file (analysis and control of missing documents)
  • Supporting the CLM-DOCO Officer in any activity related to static data input in the Bank system (Avaloq) as well as in any data quality remediation exercise

Professional Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience of banking knowledge, ideally with experience in private banking, audit, legal and/or compliance sector
  • Good knowledge of compliance topics (mainly AMLY/KYC and Tax Transparency)
  • Good knowledge of operational tax subjects (QI - FATCA – CRS) 
  • Good knowledge of banking processes & documents
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for Client On-Boarding and On-going Client Lifecycle management
  • Ability to elicit requirement from the business in an accurate and timely manner
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to challenge information presented
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent English essential, knowledge of French or other European languages would be a definite advantage.
