The Role: Compliance Officer position, reporting into the Head of Compliance Advisory in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Mega ManCo Compliance team and responsible for supporting the compliance advisory team with carrying out regulatory impact analysis specific to the Luxembourg & European market, providing advisory support (product, investment compliance, distribution), preparation and submission of compliance owned reporting and maintenance of internal team logs. This is a generalist, advisory role, that would suit somebody that has had exposure to multiple disciplines within a Luxembourg Corporate Compliance role.
Key Responsibilities for this role: - To support the team in the provision of advice on a range of projects including new fund / product launches and private placement advice for funds;
- To advise on interpretation of regulatory rules affecting the business and undertaking impact analysis of regulatory changes;
- To assist on the close monitoring of investment restrictions breaches and ensure timely and accurate follow-up including notification to the regulator and Depositaries and other relevant stakeholders;
- To operate the monitoring of the consistent application and review of compliance policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulations and M&G Group policy requirements;
- To prepare and submit compliance owned reporting to the Company's governance fora, Fund Boards and Group Compliance as required;
- To prepare and arrange submission of Compliance owned branch reporting;
- To oversee that regulatory reporting requirements are fulfilled by relevant report owners;
- To assist on the setting up and maintaining the Distribution advisory data base;
- To ensure regulatory requirements of branches are kept up to date in CAROL based on horizon scanning / regulatory bulletins / alerts;
- To lead the delivery of training to employees and development of a robust compliance culture;
- To execute and ensure the maintenance of logs of compliance activities : CSSF liaison log, complaints log, regulatory reporting calendar, policies review calendar, legal advice log, etc.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience: - Proven experience working in the Fund industry within a Compliance function or extensive knowledge of large groups compliance culture
- Familiar with legal and regulatory requirements for UCITS and AIFM products, other strategies (RE, PE, Infrastructure, MMF)
- Relevant experience in a Management Company or asset management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to conceptualise complex issues
- Attentive to details, flexible, capable of prioritizing tasks and exercising sound judgement and creativity in finding solutions and improvements
- Team player, supportive with collegiate approach
- Strong organisational and computer skills
- Organized and capable to work under pressure and independently
