Role/ Department:
Being part of the corporate compliance department of Northern Trust Global Services SE, the compliance consultant will report to and assist the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Mission:
Responsible for supporting the businesses in location; in particular on AML and KYC matters, and prepare ad hoc reports both internally (within the Northern Trust Group entities) and externally (to the CSSF and to the branch regulators). He / She shall as well prepare compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory and Northern Trust Group requirements. He/She shall report to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer of NTGS SE.
Task Description - Deliver consultancy style service to partners in the Luxembourg business, especially on AML and KYC matters, providing challenge to the business and escalation to the MLRO and Head of Compliance as necessary; - Produce and provide Compliance reporting as required; - Attend relevant business and compliance meetings; - Interacts and develops strong relationships with internal and external auditors and other members of the Risk and Compliance team, both in - Luxembourg and across Northern Trust offices; - Support the creation and maintenance of Compliance policies and standards, inclusive of performing quality checks of the content; - Provide ad hoc training to the business and in particular AML training; - Undertake monitoring reviews and follow-up on any identified compliance issue until completion; - Undertake risk assessments ( PEPs and AML) as required - He/she should provide support on tasks relating to data protection.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor degree, CAMS and/or Compliance certification issued by the Luxembourg House of Training would be an asset. - Experience: minimum 5 years. - Languages : - English : fluent spoken, written - Mandatory; - French: fluent spoken, written - Mandatory; - German: notions considered as an asset.
Compliance competences: - Knowledge of Transfer Agency and Fund Accounting services; - Sound knowledge of UCI including UCITS, AIF, PE, RE and AML laws and regulations applicable to a Luxembourg regulated entity ; - Good knowledge of data protection applicable requirements (including GDPR) as well as applicable professional secrecy obligations; - Experience of providing compliance advisory support to operational business areas within a financial services environment; - Proven record of problem solving and delivering effective solutions; - Strong analytical skills.
