Working with fellow COs in Luxembourg and reporting to the Board of Managers, you will foster strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including key Group functions and the CSSF. You will be a member of the AIFM’s Investment Committee, and as such directly involved in decisions relating to investments and divestments, and more generally, portfolio construction for the AIFs managed by the AIFM.

Responsibilities:

The CO will encounter a broad remit. In collaboration with the AIFM’s other COs, you will be responsible for the set-up and ongoing management of the newly formed AIFM. You will ensure that the Portfolio Management function provides oversight of AIFs through all stages of their lives; assist with the execution of new investments; and monitor the portfolios of AIFs managed by the AIFM and key assets within those portfolios. While you will be based in Luxembourg, the role will involve working collaboratively with key functions in Coller Capital’s head office. Specific functions and responsibilities will include the following:

Initial set-up

  • Drafting and review of internal policies and procedures in relation with the portfolio management of the AIFM.
  • Working closely with the Investment Advisor to agree information flows and form oversight review procedures.
  • Form processes to understand, document and approve AIF investment objectives.
  • Formation of Investment Committee’s for each AIF under management, and information mapping for each IC.
  • Form, document and implement controls around due diligence of new investments.
  • Agree the reporting type to be provided by the AIF’s Investment Manager.

Ongoing operation

  • Organisation of, and participation in, all Investment Committee meetings at AIFM level and involvement in all investment and divestment decisions.
  • Supervision and monitoring of investment strategies and portfolio performance in compliance with fiduciary, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Implementation of decisions of the Board of Managers.
  • Improvements to the policies, procedures and processes of the Portfolio Management function.
  • Perform due diligence on proposed new AIF investments, in collaboration with personnel of the AIFM’s Investment Advisor.
  • Ongoing monitoring of investments for compliance with applicable regulations and AIF documentation.
  • Key point of contact for Portfolio Management related matters; producing required reporting to the CSSF.
  • Coordination with other COs of all work within the AIFM, and ongoing reporting to the Board of Managers.
  • Collection, organisation and interpretation of relevant information regarding the underlying Funds Portfolio’s and reporting to the underlying AIF GP Boards.

Essential experience:

  • Post graduate degree in Finance, Economics or similar field from university or business school.
  • At least 7-10 years of relevant experience within a private equity asset manager, or AIFM.
  • In depth knowledge of AIFMD, and private equity transactions, and fund lifecycles.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in one of the Top 10 firms or within a PE firm/Asset Manager
  • Experience working within a secondaries, or Fund of Fund environment or for debt / credit funds.
  • Experience working alongside regulators, administrators and other third-party providers.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude; places value on and contributes to a collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Analytical approach, with excellent attention to detail.
