Controlling and Process Enhancement Officer (M/F)

We are looking for a Controlling and Process Enhancement Officer to join an asset manager based in Luxembourg City. The candidate should have a good understanding of the operations of a management company, be fluent in English (Italian considered an advantage) and have excellent IT / excel skills.

Controlling and Process Enhancement Officer (M/F)

The main activities of the role are organised as follows:

  • Analyse and propose improvements on the company's processes;
  • Prepare and update the internal procedures and reports based on the company's requirements and requested tools;
  • Prepare organizational analysis requested by the Head of Department;
  • Update the Program of Activity to be presented to and approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Analyse and control the prompt fulfilment of the contracts by the service providers and prepare periodic reports to the Conducting Officers and to the Board, on the efficacy/efficiency of the services providers, on the controls performed and suggest corrective action to solve possible critical situations, ie:

Check the execution and correctness of the NAV calculation and publication performed by the service provider.

Monitor the timely and correct flows exchange with the service provider;

Perform operating controls on external activities related to the fund management process;

Performs periodic controls on the regulatory activity (reporting FATCA, CRS, EMIR, MIFID2, Solvency II, BCL, CSSF, etc.);

  • Coordinate operational activities for new products' set-up.
  • Manage the process like mergers, dividend payments, defined subscription period, placement fees calculation, redemption fees calculations;
  • Ensures quality of the investment funds' financial reports and manages relationship with the funds' external auditors.


The Candidate Profile:

  • A Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 to 5 years professional experience
  • Previous experience in an asset manager would be considered an advantage
  • Financial control & reporting experience including preparing statutory accounts and co-ordination with auditors and tax administration in Luxembourg
  • Experienced and confident communicator (both in oral and written English, Italian would be considered a big advantage),
  • IT skills - excellent excel skills;
  • High quality standards; meets deadlines and demonstrates strong ownership.
