FINANCIAL REPORTING SPECIALIST (M/F)

THE JOB:

You will be responsible for the review and approval of the Financial Statements prepared and assist with the co-ordination of the overall financial reporting process for investment funds and companies, ranging across various financial reporting standards. 

The Financial Reporting Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the operational tasks performed by our Dublin office in order to successfully meet the deliverables in the Financial Reporting Department.
This role will assume responsibility for reviewing and approving financial statements, regulatory filings and other aspects of regulatory compliance in the Luxembourg jurisdiction.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as main daily contact for colleagues in Dublin in relation to a range of clients and their deliverables;
  • Review, provide comments and approved Annual and Interim Financial Statements prepared by the Dublin operations team
  • Complete the local RCS filings for the financial statements once approved
  • Review, provide comments and approved any required regulatory filings prepared by the Dublin operations team
  • Complete the local BCL filings as required
  • Assist with coordinating, planning and completion of audits / audit requirements along with Dublin colleagues;
  • Overseeing, reviewing and approving the distribution of Financial Statements / Interim Financial Statements;
  • Overseeing, reviewing and approving the completion of Luxembourg Financial Regulator Filings
  • Maintaining a Central Library of All Audited Financial Statements;
  • Supervise, train, coach and mentor junior colleagues/new employees, develop and motivate staff within their sub-unit;
  • Work with Manager to ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures;
  • Compliance with service level agreements with the accounting teams / external stakeholders;
  • Respond to queries and information requests from client and/or auditors within defined deadlines;
  • Compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements (RCS, BCL and relevant marketing institutions);
  • Adhoc tasks / projects as required.
     

     

    THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :

  • Accounting / Finance qualification or part qualified Accountant;
  • 3+ years funds experience along with 2+ years financial reporting and/ or audit experience with knowledge of US/LUX GAAP and IFRS;
  • Fluency in English Language (both verbal and written) essential;
  • P.C. literate - experience of Microsoft Office package essential;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - comfortable dealing with internal / external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Account preparation experience;
  • Knowledge of the Advent Geneva and Sungard Investran system preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
