My client, a leading global investment bank, are seeking a experienced Financial Analyst to join their Performance Management (PM) team. The PM team is a 12 member team whose primary responsibility is to analyze various facets of the business, creating management reports based on which strategic decisions are based, preparing and tracking to the yearly budget and the five year outlook. Collaboration is a key pillar of the team and the role requires a lot of interaction with numerous stakeholders within the business.

Assignment Description:

  • Be responsible for preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly reports including, but not limited to the Financial Flash, Executive Committee Reporting, quarterly financials, board decks, annual reports, budget presentations, etc.
  • Act as a business partner to research and resolve business unit inquiries regarding financials
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
  • Actively participate in the budget process
  • Routinely communicate with supervisors relating to issues and deliverables
  • Contribute towards special projects to improve process efficiencies and performance
  • Cross train as back-ups for other staff in case of emergencies and to maintain business continuity

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management reports on MS Office applications
  • Analyse reports and financial statements
  • Willing to take on ownership and act fairly independently and deliver timely and accurate reports
  • Communicate with senior members of staff regarding the reports created
  • Be collaborative and willing to learn

Languages:

English is a must have with the candidate being fluent in the language
French is a nice to have language (not mandatory)
