HR Business Partner Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone to join the Schroders Investment Management Europe HR Team as HRBP on a permanent basis. He/She will be responsible for providing efficient and high quality advisory services direct to employees and to the Luxembourgish management. Working in a team of 6, the role is client facing one with a hands-on approach.
The remits of this position include additional branches across Europe where a HR coverage would require remote management of a full delivery service along with the Subject Matter Experts in London.
The role focusses on the co-ordination of recruitment with an in-house recruitment partner in addition to the other HR activities.
The above involves independent interactions with internal clients and external stakeholders, with a regular follow-up on strategic changes as well as project management. Organisational changes may lead to ad hoc interaction with the Staff Delegations and external law firms.

What you'll do
- Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle : resourcing, development, performance management and reward
- Act as point of contact for all internal and external HR issues; maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders and other key interfaces both internally & externally
- Advise managers in the implementation of HR initiatives, processes, and tools and facilitates timely delivery, ensuring that business needs are met
- Provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure (including dismissals)
- Handle employee relations issues through to resolution including performance improvement plan (PIP), disciplinary, grievance when applicable and advise managers on policies, employment law and best practice
- Contribute to the development of the organisation's culture and identify practical plans to achieve it
- Identifie proactively areas where HR can add value
- In conjunction with the Compensation Specialist provide advice and guidance for the compensation review cycle
- Liaison point with staff representative (together with the HR Head of and the Team Leader)
- Production of HR Data, including KPIs and various monthly reports and statistics
- Development of HR policies in line with Luxembourg employment law and Group practice
- Advise and provide support on organisational/functional change design and restructuring
- Ad hoc projects that enhance the contribution of HR to the company strategy
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Fluency in English and in French
- Excellent MS Office skills combined with a strong interested in HRIS
- General overview of the work of an HR team
- Experience in coordinating recruitment and training activities
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and written skills
- Ability to explain relatively involved concepts in a clear and concise manner to others within the organisation
- Ability to work independently
- The ability to promote a positive and professional image and being helpful and polite is essential
- A good sense of judgement in dealing with staff queries
- Strong numeric and accuracy skills
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Excellent computer skills, ideally experience of a global HRIS
- Understanding of French employment law and/or another European jurisdiction
- Experience in Talent Management
