Job Description


The Head of Compliance will be responsible for the internal company secretarial function as well as the Compliance one for the Luxembourg office.

The main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Managing the Compliance function and overseeing the Compliance team (6 people) within the Luxembourg office;
  • Monitoring client’s transactions on a risk-based approach;
  • Leading the legal and regulatory watch and advising the teams on changes impacting the business;
  • Acting as the dedicated/approved Compliance Officer towards /by the CSSF;
  • Encouraging and promoting the development of the Compliance culture within the company;
  • Ensuring local Compliance and Legal regulatory watch
  • Drafting minutes of internal board and committee meetings and follow-up signatures;
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and follow-up accountable owners on actions from such meetings;
  • Maintaining authorised signatories and arranging distribution of updated lists;
  • Following up, mapping and reconciling different actions to the procedures and maintaining the thereto relevant logs;
  • Participating in the continued improvement of the compliance and internal general secretarial function;
  • Completing specific projects and other administrative and secretarial duties as required;
  • Providing ad-hoc executive assistant support to the Executive Committee;

 

 

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role in Luxembourg;
  • Strong company secretarial and compliance knowledge preferably gained in a fiduciary;
  • Good understanding of corporate governance principles;
  • Good working knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and manage timescales;
  • Willing to work with a high level of integrity, tact and discretion;
  • Fluent in English (French or any other language would be an asset);
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
