Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, regulatory reporting and tax affairs
  • Ensure accurate accounts and records of the Bank and its branches, subsidiaries and securitisation vehicle
  • Have overall responsibility for the General Ledger of the Group entities and be responsible for compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards
  • Prepare monthly management accounts soon after month end analyzing variances to budget
  • Co-ordinate annual financial statements for group and entities and related audits
  • Prepare regulatory reports (FINREP/COREP/Statistical/Anacredit/ad hoc) in a compliant and robust manner
  • Maintenance and preparation of the Bank’s business plan model forecasting all key variables of the Bank
  • Prepare management control reports and key indicators showing performance against budget
  • Consistently analyze financial data and keep abreast of financial status, risks and opportunities
  • Maintain and develop robust and efficient accounting and reporting processes and related policies, complying with best practice and regulations
  • Develop, implement and monitor internal controls framework across the Group
  • Cross-departmentally collaborate with stakeholders of the Finance processes, raise awareness and visibility of the Finance department throughout the Group Work and drive excellence in processes and platform
  • Oversee preparation of tax declarations and returns
  • Support senior managers in ad hoc strategic initiatives or projects

Skills and Competencies

  • Qualified accountant with at least 10 years PQE, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in a fast growth and ever changing environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Deep understanding of business modeling and data analytics
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (Lux-GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting practices
  • Experience and knowledge of regulatory reporting
  • Ability to establish effective cross-departmental relationships
  • University degree/ professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Fluent in English
