Investment Operations Analyst (M/F)

We are recruiting for an Investment Operations Analyst within a Management Company based in Luxembourg City. The ideal candidate would have 2 years of experience working in a service provider, custodian or depository bank. Fluent level in English is required along with an analytical mindset.

Investment Operations Analyst (M/F)


The Role:

- Maintain relationship with Portfolio Managers, Dealers and Performance & Risk teams in multiple locations.

- Understand their queries and the impact an issue has on their function/process, manage their expectations and consider changes to avoid a reoccurrence;

Oversight of Loan instrument process, which may include;
o Security setup process in thinkFolio (IAM's order management system)
o Daily communication with portfolio managers, analysts and cash management team
o Assisting brokers and agents with KYC documentation
o Oversight of outsource provider for settlement process
o Oversight of loan administrator from trade processing, settlement and post settlement lifecycle events
o Monitoring of Agent systems for post settlement lifecycle events, waivers and rolls
o Serving as an informational resource for loan products to internal departments.

- Assist team with oversight of service provider duties, which include;
o transaction processing
o settlement and trading queries
o client and asset static data maintenance
o corporate action and proxy voting decisions
o failed trade reports
o oversight of cash and stock reconciliations
o oversight of collateral management services

- Daily system and data reconciliations;

- Maintenance of procedures documentation and continually review and update processes and procedures to reduce risk and improve efficiency Assist with the implementation of new products, new instruments or new service requirements;

- Oversight of NAV and security pricing for Luxembourg funds;

- Being alert to possible breakdowns in the exchange of between the service providers;

- Considering the risks of new products/processes and funds and highlighting concerns to relevant areas;

- Reporting breaches and complaints (possible and actual) to Line Manager and Compliance;

- Ensuring that procedures are kept up to date and any gaps or concerns are notified to line manager plus compliance or risk as appropriate.


The Candidate Profile:


- Graduate with ideally 1 year investment operations experience, whether gained in Luxembourg or elsewhere, ideally including experience processing loans (both participations and originations)
- Organised, methodical, analytical, detail focused, inquisitive, pro-active, solution-minded, self-motivated team player, proficient in MS Office
- Confident communicator in fluent English - preferably also fluent in French or German;
- Comfortable working in a small team of professionals, supported by and supporting larger teams in other locations
- Willing to travel regularly.
