This reputable international firm is looking for a Lawyer with 2-3 years experience who is passionate for a change and really wants to work on specialist funds and learn and grow with the team.

Junior Lawyer – In-House Legal Officer for Private Equity Funds
 
An outstanding global Asset Manager, over 20 years’ experience, is currently looking for a new addition to their legal team.
The firm work with alternative funds, but this role will focus on private equity, and potentially some debt.
As part of the team in Luxembourg, you will work with the other European offices on a very regular basis, not just overseeing legal documents, but being heavily involved in all transactions, and advising the investment managers.
This role will be quite a technical legal role, and so bar affiliation is essential to have, either in the past or from any country. You will be involved in all of the investment transactions, working with deal teams and negotiating so law firm experience is a must-have so you are familiar with the work, but in a very different type of work environment.

You will get a lot more exposure to internal teams, clients and investors so every day is different with further responsibility.
 
Main Duties

  • Reporting to Legal Vice President and Head of Legal
  • Managing a portfolio of private equity
  • Reviewing paralegal work
  • Negotiating deals and transactions
  • Advise queries for investment managers
  • Deal with finance and tax teams
  • Keep up to date with all relevant regulation

 

Essentials

  • Hold a Bar Affiliation/Lawyer qualification
  • In-depth corporate law knowledge
  • Strong understanding of alternative funds and portfolio management
  • In-house Legal exposure is an asset
  • Fluent English
  • Experience with Luxembourg law and tax
