The Mobile Security Technologist is part of a Department responsible for guiding the long-term technology strategy of our client's telecoms operations at both senior executive level and deep technical detail.

                                     MOBILE SECURITY TECHNOLOGIST (M/F)

THE ROLE:

The Mobile Security Technologist is part of a Department responsible for guiding the long-term technology strategy of our client's telecoms operations at both senior executive level and deep technical detail. The key purpose of this role is to provide strategic guidance to the operational security teams as well as to executive leadership our client Group and to represent the views of our client on all security matters to external bodies, such as governments, regulators, industry associations and technical forums as necessary. Due to their large scope, the Mobile security technologist will be expected to travel up to 40% of their time and will be attending internal and external events globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and improving our client's cybersecurity policy and compliance structure,
  • Evolving best practise in 5G security - operational and architectural,Distilling global security requirements from industry standards,
  • Providing specific guidance on security matters to our client through written reports, presentations and meetings,Consulting and influencing governments, regulators, security bodies and industry forums on security matters.

 

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Degree in a scientific discipline e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or similar, Ideally, an accredited professional security qualification, or postgraduate study in Cybersecurity or related discipline,
  • Experience in the field of cybersecurity relating to the mobile communications industry is essential;
  • Comprehensive understanding of the security principles for legacy (2G, 3G, 4G) and evolving 5G networks;
  • Experience and confidence in presenting to a wide range of audiences up to C-suite level;
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills,Ability to influence a wiety of stakeholders through thought leadership and deep technical understanding;
  • Ability to achieve results in a diplomatic and collaborative culture;
